Guess what I found when I was snooping around youtube...

Well, after being inspired by an old RJC clip where a GP tutor rightly berated a LAZY student (but I must say that tearing up his script was a no-no), I started to search for any similar clips on my own junior college. Well, this clip looked innocent enough... until I watched it....

Damn funny! Go watch it! Now I know how my hard-raised money during funfair is being utilised by my juniors! Doh!

A Wigan Treat for us!

As he had naughtily eaten some cat food laden with big bad black ants, we decided that a bath for both would be the best remedy for this problem. We thought that his frantic running awhile would be temporary, but it wasn't, so I caught it on video. Here it is. Enjoy!

Finally.... :)

We bought Wigan and Magic their birthday gifts yesterday!!!!! Belated gift for Wigan and early birthday gift for Magic. Magic's totally delighted and she made herself comfortable on the doggy bed we bought them. And Magic can tell you where is her bed in the bedroom if you ask her,"Magic, where's your BED?" and she will scuttle anxiously to sit on it to show ownership! lol

Wigan knows it's his but haven't really started using it. We figured that they will find it more comfortable sleeping in their own bed than on ours as there isn't much space and secondly, they want both jiejies to hug them, so both jiejies can't hug each other *doh*. So, despite being rushed for time (parents coming over at 7pm-ish) we made our way down to Simei to do some really quick shopping.

We bought them identical beds because we want to be fair parents.. :P

Wigan aka Mr Heaty boi!
Wigan snuggling up on his birthday bed in front of the fan and in aircon! Doh!

Magic shows you the way to comfort!
Magic at her favourite corner in the bedroom and she also teaches us how a doggy bed should be utilised!

Wigan puts his precious toys on his bed, whilst opting to lie elsewhere cooler, Magic not warm from lying on her new bed so far!

Arrgh, I have been sneezing out blood clots from my nose. zzz and my throat is getting more sore as time passes. :( Now I am the official Raspberry ripple glue factory. :(

Wigan's 1 year old!

Wigan just turned 1 year old on 26th October 2006. Didn't/couldn't take any pictures of him because camera battery is dead. Only managed to take this 2 wonderful shots of them posing on sofa together (read: rarity) some time this week! Also didn't celebrate much for his birthday because he was having a bout of diahorrea. Avoderm food suck... last few scoops were disintegrated for no reason and both dogs have liquid poo consuming them... Poor Wigan and Magic... *guilty*

I must say their relationship have gone a long way since Wigan first joined us as a brash puppy.

We are so bored jiejie
Wigan lying down showing how dead tired he is and Magic doing her laying eggs style on sofa which always cracks me up! Actually, they are showing how bored they are... because later......

Ready, get set, CHEW!
They were furiously chewing on their fur just to make their point across!

Just this month, Wigan had picked up this enormously big bad habit from Magic and chewed his paws/fur vigorously until it was wet, smelly but deliciously doggy smelling (ok last part applies to me only I guess). Of course, it doesn't help when he smells very musculine for a dog but he is always forgiven because he loves to put his chin on our hands/knees, as if he had loads of stuff to tell us, expressing it with his kind brown eyes!

Magic however, does it differently. She gives you the wide-eye innocent look with her huge brownest eyes and says it without words: Jiejie, I got things to tell you. And she proceeds to behave in such a manner as if we all had been very bad to her, the day has been unkind to her etc and demands lots of "sayang" and tlc from us. Hehehe.. So endearing of her.

Well, other big jiejie is late on this day the photo is taken, that's why they look at me as if I could make big jiejie come back earlier! doh!

Tired!

and worried. Magic gave a stuckup face to the steamed stingray I cooked for her meal today. In contrast, Wigan was devouring his with relish.

Wonder what's wrong. She had 2-3 mouthfuls and decided she will not touch that offending meal anymore.

Sigh.

But anyway plan today is to go Beach with my parents. I am sure they will enjoy themselves!

Nasty!

Loot whore alert siah, keep your silence lor, when people ask in class channel about whether you're bidding. And BTW, nice B*S about "asking Okry to let me come for AQ40" cos I had clarified with him and he was already calling me during officer discussion. Well, anyway thanks to your loot-whoreness, if I hadn't clarified with Okry, I would think so "WELL" of you.

Anyway Jess took some pictures of our babies last night: here they are

Magic showing the way to hiding on the sofa!

The truly Zen way of hiding on sofa, behind grey pillows!

Wigan with his precious toys.

Wigan shows you his beloved Green Oscar toy!

They really have a weird relationship. Protective of each other yet Magic's on her prissy mood as usual. Yesterday both had a whale of time snatching toys from each other. It's a tough decision to make I guess, since both balls were out rolling on the floor. Both had wanted 2 balls, but were unable to keep them safe. They are hyperactive till past 1am. Poor jiejies couldn't get to bed with them panting loudly and occassion mock growls and pouncing! Took them quite a while to calm down. :D

Imaginary territorial line again

Today they had their one off major quarrel/quibble. Now apparently the living room is split into 2. Magic was preening herself behind me on top of the sofa whilst Wigan came by asking for some love. I beckoned Wigan over and they got into a fierce quarrel which lasted 1 minute. After that Magic sulked in her computer corner after the quarrel. As usual Wigan looked really lost and was wondering what did he do wrong. As I was preparing their food, he had not come to his usual corner to eat. Sigh.. I had to bring his food near the toilet for his lunch!

They had eggs today. I prefer to cut them up into small pieces as they both tend not to chew but swallow their food. Jess however likes to give them like this:

Beautifully laid eggs aka Big jiejie Jess style. Only enjoyed during weekends and days when Jess isn't working!

Ahhhh I just heard a loud "dong" sound. Clumsy Wigan knocked his head against the glass chair. He gave a good shake and walked away none the wiser.

Wigan trying his hand to camo on sofa but without much success unlike Magic jiejie

Yesterday Magic just 'kidnapped' Wigan's belongings. His beloved Oscar, Dog and Ball were under siege! He wasn't particularly disturbed but didn't attempt to take ownership of them.

All your bases belong to me
I got your toys! Nyeh Nyeh!

Sunday evening and Evil Monday

Well, we finally got down to going to Geylang Serai to see the bazaar for Hari Raya. It was really crowded and the stalls started from Joo Chiat all the way to Paya Lebar area.

Quite fun, because we haven't been to Bazaar for a long time... But same old foods lor... Nothing really interesting.... But anyway I saw my favourite fried cheese sticks snack so we bought it... but had to backtrack to buy it because walk past many stall never buy then later don't see any of it. >.<

These are definitely worth it!

We were quite hungry, so anyhow plonk on 1 table and start eating. Ordered too much food and ended up so paiseh have to tabao back lor.

We also met someone whom we haven't met for a long while, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Today is horrible... got up wrong side of the bed, then people from the developer came to do some rectifications. So far so good, they fixed our wardrobe door which miraculously came down on Saturday night. They also patched the 2 parts of our toilet tiles with cement, and also that area near the fridge. However, they have informed me that the lack of flushing water in the toilet bowl is due to its inherent design! *gasp* So next time you come my place to sh*t, please aim in the lake, not the beach. TYVM. :P

Xiao Dang Jia

Well, as I had mentioned to Jess before, Eunos market isn't that fun to go shopping. But nevertheless I had agreed to bring her there on Saturday. After a fulfilling Prata breakfast, we proceeded to do our shopping. As my mum was going to give us some fish, there wasn't much to buy. So we headed to the vege stall. My usual lady goes,"heeheehee Xiao Dang Jia" i.e. little homemaker. I don't think it was that funny. Jess thinks it's okay but I am annoyed at her laughing at me (and of course at her amusement at me buying vegetables) for that. Jess says I look very young.... Does it mean young people cannot buy vegetables from wet market? O_O

Jess also thinks it's funny. ZZZ Well, I know I am funny but never knew I am funny in that way.

Sunday

was a shopping spree day for my parents. They had purchased a 42" Phillips TV (in my dad's words: CANNOT LOSE TO SULIN'S TV SIZE) zzz. I am currently using the same model but 37". My parents had on several occasions drooled over my nice LCD TV. Plus they still had the 5 year warranty from Phillips so why not? My mom didn't take long to buy the TV and signed her life away for 3 years worth of instalments. After that she proceeded to M1 shop to buy a new phone. She had declared that her hp is 'OUT OF CONTRACT' and moreover she was asking whether Jess' phone was worth to buy w/o line at 400$? At first she asked me whether I heard of Dopod before? I am like "Ah huh, I am using it and Jess is using the S300. Then I told her that's a crazy price to pay for it when with line it's only 200$? Apparently they were having offer. My mom went to extend her rider line and paid only 98$ for the Dopod S300. She's very pleased with herself!!!

After that they continued their shopping at Isetan. We parted ways at Parkway Parade and went Giant to top up on groceries. Hmm, we bought what we needed but forgot totally about buying potatoes. Oh well.. >.<

On our way back, we met my parents again!!!! They were in the queue for Taxi!!! Nice eh? And my mom's like 3rd in line for the next taxi. Kekekekek free lift home (2nd time) hehehe. On Saturday, my dad drove me from Funan Centre.... :D

Saturday

we went Holland V to look at art as well as ate some lovely rib meat at Hog's Breathe Cafe. :) Happy!!! But expensive meal!!!! After which we took a taxi down to Millenia Walk as Jess had wanted to look at furnitures. We also went window shopping at Marina Square. So crowded and stupid Gurmit was MC for some paint company. Noisy like fug. After which we walked the underpass to Funan Centre.

Intention was to buy my Doom game for Mac but we couldn't find it. Just as we were at the bookshop browsing, my dad called and said he was on the way to Suntec and would pick us up after that! :) Quite shiok lor hahahah. Mom gave us fishes and all.

Morning didn't do much except go Eunos market to buy some vegetables. Lazy us skipped lunch and the makan at Hog's breathe was Lunch cum Dinner. :o

Quite eventful weekend/Sunday but I wished it was longer lar!

There's a little something for everyone

Had a really grouchy day yesterday. Woke up with the smell of poo and pee. Jess cleaned it up before going to work. i woke up later. MORE PEE and LAOSAI! Dulan. I had to soak the brand-new sponge mop before getting to work. After mopping and wiping the surfaces of the whole house and feeling relatively better, another load of LAOSAI and PEE on the floor. This time I beat Wigan. Earlier I had brought the 2 jokers down they refused to go for walk. After peeing at the grass outside, they decided they had enough and tried twice to go back into the aircon lift lobby.

Really dulan, whole day clear pee and poo. After much of the repeated housework was done, I cooked dinner lor. Jess liked my eggplant dish. :))))

After dinner brought them for walk at 9pm. Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle had just started, thought we would catch the rest after the walk. Alas it was not to be. Wigan stepped in an ant's hill/trail and he was attacked by ants. No, I am not exagerating. Wigan started crying, yelping and jumping very disturbedly aka dancing. His cries were piteous and he kept licking his 2 front paws and wiping his face. He wouldn't sit still and under the dim street lamp I couldn't make out the fuss he was kicking up.

After getting him to stay still (typing this makes my hairs stand!) I saw many black ants on his paw, and lifting up his luxurious fur, I spotted even more ants. I frantically tried to pull the ants out of his paw thinking that it was a few, but upon realisation, it was an army of them who had burrowed in and bit his flesh painfully. He couldn't quite walk and was in frenzy with pain. I carried him home quickly (ran actually) and horror awaits us. There were at least few hundred ants clinging to him and attacking him. Jess and I got to work and Magic looked at us to say,"What's the fuss about didi?" I had naively thought that a simple rinse with warm water will get the ants out but no! After parting his fur with the stream of water, I had a bigger shock, there were zillion of ants in a zipper like pattern on his front paw. They had burrowed into his fur to attack him. Jess and I got to work and we had to pull out the ants one by one. Some were still alive when we tried to flush it down the drain and bit me on the way. ~.~

We had taken over an hour to pluck out the ants (and took out a few well-hidden mites too) from his 2 front paws and face and after he was done with a thorough shower, it was 11pm.... Charlie's Angels had ended..... Of course we showered too! I think too much animal planet in the daytime added to my paranoia :(

Glad he's ok.... and today there wasn't any accidents so far (oh my poor timber flooring)

TODAY
I have decided to be a good gal. I called up T3 to enquire about my non-delivered subscription and called up the developer to get them to come down to do rectification work on my apartment.

Oh.... maybe I should start on my iPod Nano. It was a V-day gift and I had procrastinated on putting songs on it! My bad!

TGIF! Have a good weekend ahead!

There's always a first time~

Silly as it sounds, I am relearning the ways of computing!

After much hem-haw, Jess bought me a new rig: Good news (or bad news) is, it's an iMac instead of a regular PC. It had all I wanted: Duo-core, 2 Gig of DDR RAM (we had to pay 305$ to upgrade it, some expensive) Paid another couple of hundred dollars to have a MS Office (what an irony). But all in all it's a comprehensive purchase. Builtin Webcam, Firewire, Speakers, Microphone, CPU and Monitor all into a slim (but heavy!) 17" LCD thingy!

New rig's really nice, however internet-banking is causing the system to hang. I had my browser hang on me a couple of times.

So far so good, haven't gone to 40 man raids with this baby. If there's anything to buy a Mac for, it's the sheer neatness. I only have 1 powercable from my monitor/cpu to power the whole rig. Really neat and tidy.

Anyway my new rig's really powerful..... the scary thought of development in technology. I gave up all my PC games (BAWL) and P* stuff lor.... But really an ease of mind with the lesser virus and security issues to worry about. Now I am stuck with pacman....

Ok, I will change my blog skin soon, but before that need to fix up printer!

Past few days.....

Jess took 2 days leave to have fun with me lol. Well, we certainly did. She bought me a nice 17" iMac which we lugged home by train. Truly amazed by it. :D We even had a walk around Sim Lim Square to source for alternative upgrade for my rig. We also bought nice mooncake which we ate greedily - the yam fried ones with yolk!

We sun-tanned a little on Rooftop on Thursday and had a nice tan. Now we know why my sister likes to come over and tan! It's really shoik!

Friday go and buy iMac lor. Then call up my mom and told her I am giving her my PC. Sobs.... 1.5g RAM and new 80g HDD. GOODBYE AND FAREWELL! It took like hours to transfer some 50g of data over. Also remembered to del my p*rn lah! We also queued up like 1 hour for our beloved mooncake. East Ocean is totally sold out (the brand we usually buy) so bobian lor. We actually went SLS->Eat laksa etc at OG there->take bus to Taka->Buy mooncake->Go apple shop at Wheelock-> Buy Japanese Nuggets from Isetan-> Take train home. I was in dismal seeing the sealed underpass to Wisma!

Wa, my arm almost broke lor..... so heavy. P/S Mum's really happy about the gift.

Saturday: Mum called up said she would come over and pick up the comp..... and cook dinner for us... I stared at my seasoned grouper in horror as I had wanted to prepare steam fish for dinner. Oh well. Her pickup was delayed due to over-indulgence in alcohol for her afternoon wedding lunch at Ah Yat Abalone Restaurant. Oh well, ended up we ate the grouper for lunch. Thank goodness dinner wasn't the same steamed fish. Mum also had roast pork meat as well as soupy Niang Doufu, she had cooked Black Mullet for us. Parents picked us up, went back my old house, packed shitload of clothes home. Found my iPod Nano. Yum. Picked up the trough of alcohol too. 2 bottles of whiskey ley!

Sunday: is_the_day_where_all_good_times_come_to_an_end

That thing came lor.. cramp like fuck. So annoyed and moody. Waited 1 hour for MC and it isn't starting. Went to bed but cramps keep going on and on. In the end dragged myself out of bed to go buy Dog food for the 2 darlings. So took train down to Bugis, did quite abit of shopping. Jess is still in the mood for buying a glass worktable to match the iMac.. GASP!

Finally purchased Helen the fox DVD, SQ21 and bought a feel-good book about dogs. Browsed at Kinokuniya cookbooks but didn't purchase any. Jess was in housewife mood and bought fake colored flowers for the vase that disguised our unsightly wiring at TV area. Adjourned to Sakae to eat but sashimi somewhat not so satisfying. Surprisingly she had Asahi Beer and good me had yucky artifical lemonade. Hahahha

Came back home and watched Grey's Anatomy Season 3 Episode 1 which in horror, was a recap of the past 2 seasons... :/ That was after feeding our dogs 1 dozen of quail eggs, which ended up mush on the bedroom floor twice. We suspect the separate contribution was from each dog. [sigh]

The smell of Bak Kua

Heh, on my short trip back from Bedok Central, I smelt a strong scent of tasty Bak Kua, it was as if someone had barbequed in front of me... I was looking for the person who had purchased (many) kilos of it but couldn't locate. Nevertheless, the smell disappeared when I was about to alight from the train. Weird eh? Maybe my brain playing tricks on me.

Well, not going to upgrade my lao pok comp le... Not worth it.... bottleneck is the 'outdated-ness' of my old rig. Sigh.....
