Ok. No more.

OK, it's off. The whole thing. No more anymore, no more hopeful wishes, no more plans to buy whatever we need. NO MORE OK?

Jess tells me it's beyond my control, I don't know how to cope with it. So much monies were used, now more monies are to be expended just to void it. Already the full valuation costs SGD320, that is excluding other legal costs already incurred. I don't know what to do. The mere thought of $ worries me greatly.

I am glad I just placed a deposit. We shall have to purchase something else at Best Denki instead. No more nice TV LCD panel ok?

Things just got worse!

Well, just received an sms from the PB that the Road Line cuts into the property. I don't know what to do now. This is the most wretched week of the year and to double up, I am suffering again from gastris/stomach flu. My abdomen is acting up and it's very painful since yesterday afternoon.

At least yesterday I went to the IT Fair....

I went with Amithyst to go browse. We both unanimously agreed that the IT Fair is just a BIG Pasar Malam (or Pasar Siam if you go in the day) with sales and freebies to entice you to part with your money. There isn't really any cutting edge technology or new products to go Ga-Ga at.

We even spotted "health equipment" and I don't think they were IT related? Sigh.

Anyway main floors are Level 4 and Level 6 as Level 3 is just some console booth. Check out the Nintendo Booth (Gals) as it's quite cute :)

I was looking to purchase a 19" LCD monitor. I think generally prices have gone down alot from the time I bought my 15" monitor.

The various booths are flashing their 8ms screens and especially boasting about their 4ms panels to my delight (lol) So far, the fastest refresh rate I had seen is Viewsonic's 2ms. I am not so sure whether my (naked) eyes can tell the difference so maybe the techies could just leave a comment :)

In the end we didn't buy anything. Amithyst was looking for a printer trade-in offer so that he could upgrade to a All-in-One but we couldn't find any. Instead we were tempted/enticed by the cheap SLRs from Fuji!

Actually what I really need now is a new HDD or maybe a total upgrade to my computer. My computer is close to 4 (or 5 years old?) AMD XP2000 with 30gb HDD. My free space in HDD is like a measley 3gb+. Sad :(

What is going on?

Ok, so much for the "good bargain" yesterday. Looks that things are going terribly horrible for me and I don't know how to cope with it in a positive (or at least neutral) manner.

Why are people so dishonest? No wonder Magic want to bite you. It is always said you cannot judge a book by its cover. But boy oh boy, you are certainly like how you look. First you coerce my mom to place that bid for the purchase. Then backdate the document knowing well that Jessica is overseas. I really don't know what to think of you. Not to mention you had THREATENED me that I will forfeit my 1% if I do not complete the OTP by 2 weeks. All of the above which is totally unscrupulous according to my current solicitors.

I hope you can sleep well at night, because I couldn't if I were like you.

We had decided to go ahead with the formal valuation due to the RIT. Please wish us luck. I never knew I couldn't have a normal, regular working for my birthday till today.

Adventures of the Eye!

Well, I was standing face to face with a huge acne which is dangerously threatening to burst its contents onto my poor face. I honestly thought I had left the pimply scenario for good but guess not. -_-

On a happy note, I met my ex-classmate whom I have not met for 10 years. During lunch with Jess that is. :) We exchanged contacts, abeit Jess making some weird faces. Hehe.

Well, I am now on my way to dinner with my sis. We will probably eat the Shanghai Xiao La Mian.

I am really glad Jess is home. Miss her lots!!! Welcomed her with Chinese 'Zi Cha' and a beautiful box of chocolates (read: Gourmet). Just can't wait to see her later after her business dinner.

My Heart is Beating with Excitement and Anticipation

Jess had called me this morning.... Heheheh, nice, because it's actually time for me to get up for work!! But I am just lazing in bed...

She's actually touched down Singapore and sounded really excited over the phone (even though she's going to work in the afternoon-NOT) and we chatted for a while. She needed her office access pass and she said she would go home first to drop stuff. I found what she needed as well as discovered that her keys are with me. ROFL!

I am actually going to meet her later (read: SOON!) for lunch so that I can pass her her stuff instead of her coming over my place to pick them up.

I just can't wait to see her and am smiling as I am typing this.

I actually changed my shirt (to-wear-for-work) to the CNY one as I wanted to show(-off) her new shirt. Heheheheh

The train trip down to town was very exciting. I feel like a small child, looking forward to a surprise wrapped in present.

For those who are actually wondering, I am not going to see her until much later even after our lunch as she having a business dinner with her Bermudian colleague and her boyfriend. That's partly why I changed my shirt.. and also left my tie at home. LOL!

Well Jess, no tie surprise for you since no dinner [hng] :P

Ok, I can't wait for lunch time soon!!! OMG!!! I am so anxious! Going to give her a small surprise... hopefully. ;)

It's good to see familar faces

Started my new job at new work place. Supposedly by environment it is supposed to be 'undersirable' Small office, storage boxes everywhere and a staff strength of less than half my previous firm. Similarly there are 3 separate businesses incorporated but here staff are mobile across job functions. We are *REALLY* one big family [read: not pretending very hard to be one but try so hard to be separate kind of b*s]. On my first day the whole gang of us went out for lunch together at a nearby eatery. I felt really comfortable and welcomed.

There's this other guy [whom I shall reserve my comments on] who started work with me on the same day. So, I didn't feel so alone/newbie.

I do really love starting a new job on a new space. I have a small but discreet cubicle. Totally empty for me to occupy with just laptop and chair and empty small pedestal of drawers. The 'walls' are of cushion type (not the look like cushion but cheat people kind) which I could pin up notes and personal stuff. Ahh, the powers of your own private space.

Looking at it from afar, it seems as if I had taken a step backward (smaller firm, lesser staff, old comp and technical equipment) but hearing from my senior about his adventures about implementing a successful Scheme and his stories about other jobs made me really excited. He was previously from Coopers (now PWC) and retorted that he had learnt alot more here than being at Coopers. As I was formerly from the regulator's office, we spoke alot about cases and their administration and how it differs being handled by a government liquidator. He was impressed with my knowledge as I could virtually see him taking a deep breathe to explain to me what needs to be done. After a few sentences we understood each other and I continued with the direction of work to be done. It's as if the CR (Corporate Recovery) people like himself and my other colleagues all know what each other is talking about. Common CR lingo!! :)

Feels like good old days again as I am back to my familar work place at Tg Pagar. After all I worked here for 1 year :). I do really miss having colleagues (in the same department) and having to discuss about work. I feel more alive. It's actually weird that we didn't speak much about my work at the previous firm. They asked (with politeness) where I was from and asked whether it was convenient to tell them where I came from. Seems that *they* aren't so BIG after all despite the perceived hype as they have no idea what firm I came from and what they do and where the office is. They replied with a "ahh" after I told them my previous office was at Raffles Place. ROFL.

Well, the above-captioned title is for the Uncle who sells Teochew Fish Soup/Porridge at Amoy Market. I just went down just now to eat and he's like,"You haven't come for a long time" I am honestly surprised that he still recognises me after a span of almost 1 year. Anyway, I ordered my usual fish soup + fish 'pao' with rice. ^^

I am back...... yes, I am home to work is.
