Sunday!

Well, I was surprised when wanting to make a new post in my blog. Blogger has changed its format.... I was like "huh"? But anyway, it looks like the Microsoft word formatting page with the font, size, style, colour and even bullets. Looks like they even added a spellcheck to it. Lolz.

Anyway, am blogging on my sis' cool SFF. Here's how my KL trip went:

Saturday:
Left house early, reached JB early. Horror of horrors our watermelon juice had sugar in it! [gasp] Booked an early bus ride to Johor. Terrible slow trip with 2 drivers taking turns and numerous toilet stops. Methinks they had those stops so that they could have smoke breaks. Both drivers SMOKED so much!

I bought 'hairy' rambutans to eat on the way. Very sweet but not crunchy. Had loads of flesh stuck on my teeth. Check the pictures we took in KL here.

Then after that, checked in and realised that we got the wrong room, and worst still, a room which has stuff in it. I think the previous owner has not checked out at all with the ashtray with ciggie butts and wedding gifts and all. We wanted a NONE-SMOKING room. Arrrrgh. Terrible place. And my colleague was right!!!! Hotel Federal = Hotel 81. Zzzzzz Should have got back Hotel Capitol. Liked the oldy and simple place there. I was totally in a bad mood and we went down to change the room. We had like 2 free drinks from the bar which we didn't utilise at all? Lolz

Then we made the mistake of going down Bangsar... On a Saturday night. We forgot that the Pasar Malam only opens on Sunday. 6-10pm to be exact. Nevertheless, no worries, we went to eat lovely seafood... Blardy spicy sambal Kangkong as they added loads of chilli seeds into the concoction. Overcooked blood cockles, nice Black fried promfret. Idea was there but style wasn't. Ended dinner with a burp and we went around Bangsar to shop. Jess managed to get 2 lovely pieces of clothing and as we had to get some toiletries, we went to guardian. They were having some promotion.... some charity drive. Here is how it works: You donate RM$10 to buy a bag, which allows you to have an additional discount on the participating brands like from 20-40%. Real cool I think almost every brand had discounts save Olay. LOLZ. So we couldn't buy the Total Essence and Total Effects as it was around the same price for my mom. But we bought loads of nice shampoo, hair treatment creams, strepsils, panadols etc. Wasn't feeling too good since Friday night.... Was basically a sick traveller.

After spending like close to RM$80 on a lot of stuff, we went over to the next door 7-11 to get some beer to cool us both down. Bought 2 bottles. But didn't drink them? Lolz.

Next day we woke up so late... as usual. So tired ma. So wake up late. Took taxi down to KLCC. Shopped a little, didn't buy much.. Not even for shopaholic Jess. We had wonderful lunch at Chinoz. Triple cheese pizza, and that lovely pasta with anchovies, olives etc. We even ordered potatoe salad as starters. Jess had an unflattering shot of me sleeping upright as I was really sick and tired. Camomile tea didn't help :/. Didn't buy much and then we took a taxi down Chinatown where I got a hair-cut and the pair of lovely nike shoes. I also bought a packet of dry fish for my colleagues :)

Then took a taxi to Time Square (new place apparently) which we saw the indoor roller-coaster with the passengers screaming their lungs out. We bought a couple of nice tops for my sister and for Jess and that's about it. Hardly any shopping in this trip. After that, we managed to walk back to our hotel *without getting lost* and drank up the 2 small bottles of beer (Tiger Beer w00t) before going down to Hawker Street to eat seafood. We had sambal prawns (nice juicy and spicy), blood cockles done the bloody way ^^ and stir-fry kailan. Then had a tad problem being wet whilst waiting for a taxi. Most taxis refused to take us to Bangsar because it was the finals of Euro and they were holding some event over there. After much waiting, we managed to get onto a taxi which halfway through the journey almost overturned as he made an acute right turn into a road divider. I swear we were riding on 1 wheel at one time!!! After that bumpy sound when the other 3 wheels landed on the wet bitumen road, the driver nochalantly shrugged and continued driving us to Bangsar. What an adventure! The night market awaited us. I bought a packet of strawberries and 4 packets of dry cuttlefish seasoned with prawn paste and peanuts. Yum! It was the same lovely one I bought the last time I went over during my birthday. We basically soaked in the lights and sound. Initial plan was to stay for the Euro Finals. But it started at 3am and at the rate taxis were available we were skeptical. I was so tired also.. So we abandoned the whole idea and took a taxi back. No bumpy ride though :p

Next morning was a rush! We had a large bottle of beer (forgot to chill :p) with strawberries for breakfast! Swell! Then trodded all the way to the Pedu Raya Bus station in search for a bus back to Singapore. Went to 1 company who only had the 3.30pm slot. We refused to be discouraged and went to the next one. The lady said: Departing now. We paid her the RM$50 and went down to the bus-depot (at the basement) to take the express bus back to Singapore. We ate lunch at our first toilet stop. Bought some more tid-bits. :p Then realised that we didn't have a co-driver! He drove the 5 hours straight to Singapore. Really quick guy. Made us think that our trip there was terribly long! >.< The bus dropped us at Golden Mile. After going back my place to drop stuff, we still had the energy to go to Bugis to eat Sakae and watch a movie. Hee hee. Spiderman II. That's how our few days of holidays went. :)
